"My husband loves to fly his TRLBY kites with 100 foot tails. Here he created a ‘TRLBY’s pretzel’ over the ocean."
Artist comment: "I have painted TRLBY kites for many years and since they are no longer available, I really treasure ours. Trlbys were made to fly, and are easy and fun to manipulate into interesting configurations. Ed usually puts them through their paces while I photograph them (sometimes in his enthusiasm he will ditch them in the ocean, however). With the ocean as a background, I painted with oil on canvas, one of those memorable occasions. After creating a summer mood in sea and sky, I carefully painted the kites and tails. This stack is one of our ‘rainbow’ stacks."
